Traits are modifiers that can affect certain stats, usually chosen upon character creation.

Depending on what [[Backstory]] you choose, you are given a varying amount of trait points that you can use to unlock traits. Each trait will give/deduct a certain amount of trait points depending on how impactful it will be on your gameplay, with positive traits deducting trait points and negative traits giving trait points.

The game will not allow you to spawn into the game until "Points to spend" is a number equivalent to zero or higher.

The game also will not allow you to take more than one trait that pertains to a certain category (e.g. you cannot take unathletic and athletic at the same time)
